Mr. Rodríguez-Pastor has served as IFS’ Chairman since 2007. He also serves as Interbank’s Chairman since 1995 and as Chairman of Intercorp Peru Ltd., Inteligo Group Corp., Interseguro Compañía de Seguros S.A., Supermercados Peruanos S.A., Tiendas Peruanas S.A., Homecenters Peruanos S.A., Colegios Peruanos S.A., InRetail Peru Corp., Financiera OH! S.A. and Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A., among others.
In addition to Mr. Rodríguez-Pastor’s vast experience as member of several Boards of Directors in Peruvian and foreign companies, among other practical experience in the financial sector, he has served as Vice-President of Citibank (New York), Managing Director at Banco Santander (New York) and interim Chief Executive Officer of Interbank.
Mr. Rodríguez-Pastor received a bachelor’s degree in social science from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in business administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Mr. Barúa has served as one of Interbank’s directors since 1994. In addition, Mr. Barúa serves as a director of InRetail Pharma, Supermercados Peruanos, Tiendas Peruanas, Homecenters Peruanos, Real Plaza, Universidad Tecnológica del Perú, Financiera OH!, Inteligo Group and Interseguro. He has also served as director of IFS and Intercorp Perú, and until 2019, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Intercorp Perú. Mr. Barúa received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima and a degree in economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
Mr. Morris has served as one of IFS’ directors since 2007. Mr. Morris also serves as Chairman of Interseguro Compañía de Seguros S.A. and Financiera Oh! S.A., as Vice-Chairman of Interbank and as director of Intercorp Peru Ltd. and Inteligo Bank Ltd.
Mr. Morris’ practical experience in the financial industry includes, among others, his roles as Vice President of finance planning and international areas at Interbank, and CEO of Interinvest S.A. (investment banking and related activities). Mr. Morris has also been professor of several finance courses in graduate programs at Universidad del Pacífico and has been consultant on capital markets development and financial matters to various financial companies, international organizations and governments.
Mr. Morris received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, a master’s degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in finance from American University.
Mr. Zavala has been a IFS director since April 2019. Mr. Zavala also serves as CEO, President and director of Intercorp Peru Ltd. (holding company of Intercorp Group) as well as director of Interbank, Interseguro Compañía de Seguros S.A., Inteligo Bank Ltd., InRetail Peru Corp., Inteligo Group Corp., InRetail Pharma S.A., Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A., Colegios Peruanos S.A., Tiendas Peruanas S.A., Supermercados Peruanos S.A., Financiera OH! S.A., Internacional de Títulos Sociedad Titulizadora S.A. and Homecenters Peruanos S.A., among others. Before joining Intercorp Group, Mr. Zavala served as CEO of the multinational company SABmiller in Panama and Peru, General Manager of Indecopi and director of several companies, business guilds and NGOs as well.
During his more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector (in several industries), he has been Peruvian Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Peru, the latest twice. Mr. Zavala has presided the Risks Management Committee of Banco Falabella and has been a professor of economics and finance at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and Universidad del Pacífico.
Mr. Zavala received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, a master’s degree in business management from Universidad de Piura, and a master’s in business administration from University of Birmingham in England.
Mrs. Aljovín has served as one of IFS’ directors since her appointment in April 2019 and has been serving as Interbank’s director since July 2018. She has also served as Foreign Affairs Minister, Minister of Energy and Mines and Minister of Social Inclusion. Mrs. Aljovín is the President of the National Fishing Society, Vice President of CONFIEP and Vice President of the Arbitral Tribunal of AMCHAM Perú; and has served as director to several Peruvian companies and nonprofit organizations.
Mrs. Aljovín has been member of the capital markets and regulatory areas of Miranda & Amado Peruvian law firm, where she was partner. As well she has served as member of the board of directors of the Lima Stock Exchange, Secretary General of the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finances, CEO of Association of Companies Promoting the Capital Markets (Procapitales) and CEO of the Peruvian office of Llorente & Cuenca, in which role she acted as head advisor of numerous companies of the banking and financial industry.
Mrs. Aljovín received a degree in law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a master’s degree in business administration from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez of Chile. She has also been a journalist and a professor at several Peruvian universities.
Mr. Bustamante has served as one of IFS’ and Interbank’s directors since March 2007. Mr. Bustamante is the President of the Board of CFI Holdings S.A. (formerly Corporación Financiera de Inversiones S.A.) and also serves as a director of Agrícola Cerro Prieto S.A.C., Irrigadora Cerro Prieto S.A.C. and San Miguel Industrias Pet S.A. Mr. Bustamante was President of the Board of Telefónica del Perú and Banco Santander Central Hispano, formerly known as Bancosur, and of the Asociación de Bancos del Perú – ASBANC. In the public sector, Mr. Bustamante was the Prime Minister of Peru and Minister of Industry, Tourism, Integration and International Trade Negotiations (1993-1994) and was President of COPRI and Prom Perú during the same period. During his tenure as Peruvian Prime Minister, the foundations were laid for the modernization of the country and the 93′ Peruvian Constitution (currently in-force) was redacted.
Throughout his more than 40 years of experience in various industries as well as in public offices, he has served as Executive President and member of the Credit and Investment Committees of Banco del Sur (Bancosur), he’s been part of the Investment Committee of La Positiva (insurance company) and has participated as exhibitor on several matters including economics, economic development and finances at numerous business assemblies and forums.
Mr. Bustamante received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina in Lima and pursued his graduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Mr. Fischman has served as one of Interbank’s directors since 2003. Mr. Fischman also serves as a director of Supermercados Peruanos. Mr. Fischman received a degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech University and a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University.
Mr. Heeren has served as one of Interbank’s directors since 2015 and is CEO of UTEC (Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología) and Tecsup (Instituto Superior de Tecnología). He currently serves on the board of a number of companies as well as non-profit organizations. Prior to his current role, he was a partner in the largest consulting firm in Peru, Apoyo Consultoría, where he served as the head of management consulting. Additionally, he spent 12 years as a faculty member in the Graduate School of the Universidad del Pacífico. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics at the Universidad del Pacífico, and obtained his master’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Santa María has served as one of IFS’ directors since his appointment in April 2019, and has been serving as Interbank director since November 2016. Mr. Santa María is partner, manager of economic studies, and chief economist of APOYO Consultoría, where he runs the Business Advisory Service (SAE, for its acronym in Spanish). SAE is the leading economic and business analysis service in Peru. He is currently a member of the board of directors of Sociedad Agricola Virú S.A. and Colegios Peruanos S.A. and serves as an alternate director of InRetail Peru Corp. Previously, he was a member of the boards of Banco Santander Perú, Grupo ACP, Compañía Minera Atacocha and the Consolidated Reserve Fund (investment fund of the Peruvian public pension system), and independent director and Chairman of Mibanco.
In his role of chief economist of APOYO Consultoría, Mr. Santa María has vast experience in the provision of both (i) consulting services to companies in the financial industry, and (ii) financial advisory to companies in several industries. Mr. Santa María has been a professor of economics and finance in graduate programs at Universidad del Pacífico, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and Universidad de Piura.
Mr. Santa María holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad del Pacífico and Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis.
